Euclid Security Programs LLC is a proud member of the Euclid Program Managers family.
Ed LaFramboise is a senior underwriting, risk management, operations, and finance executive with expertise in corporate and business unit leadership. Ed has over 20 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry with a focus on specialty and E&S business.
Ed began his insurance career in public accounting, auditing insurance companies. Ed has served in several senior management roles at US-based specialty insurance companies. Prior to forming Euclid Security, Ed was a founding member and President of a midsized US-based MGA which managed four niche E&S casualty programs, one of which was dedicated to the Security industry.
Larissa Gallagher has 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry, split between property brokerage and casualty underwriting.
Larissa began her insurance career in London, broking property placements for complex, middle market and Fortune 100 companies to Lloyd’s of London syndicates, and London and European company markets acting as a wholesale broker. In 2010, Larissa transferred to the US and began placing property programs as a retail broker, working with insurers and wholesale brokers in the US, London, Asia and Bermuda.
Larissa also served as the program manager of a Security Program for a US-based MGA writing General Liability/Errors & Omissions, Excess Liability, and Worker’s Compensation lines of business for various Security industry risks including guard, investigative, alarm, and fire suppression risks.
Euclid Program Managers
Euclid Insurance Services, Inc. was founded by Peter G. Colis in 1952. The firm began as a retail insurance agency—selling all types of property casualty, and health and life products. In 1992, Peter’s son, John, joined Euclid. John’s experience included time at General Reinsurance Corporation and Aon Risk Services learning the reinsurance and program insurance business. Over the next 20 years, Euclid built both its program administrator and its employee benefit general agency business. As part of this evolution, the original retail insurance agency was sold in 2012.
Today, Euclid operates as a program administrator for specialty property casualty insurance programs, and as a general agency and third party administrator for employee benefit products. The firm remains family-owned and employs hundreds of people in locations across the U.S. and Internationally. While Euclid’s business model has evolved over the years, its core values remain unchanged. The company strives to deliver large company capabilities in a privately-owned, responsive environment for the benefit of its brokers, employees and policyholders.
Within the Euclid organization are a number of program managers who underwrite specialty property casualty business. Most of these operations are separate corporations that are jointly owned by Euclid and the insurance professionals that run the business.
Under this unique model, Euclid partners with best-in-class underwriters who invest their money and talent and become equity owners in their own program. Euclid will take them to market to find an insurance carrier and will assist in negotiating a program administrator agreement. Euclid then wraps its well-oiled administrative services – accounting, information technology, human resource, underwriting support services – around the company, allowing the owner underwriter to run the company with focus and efficiency.
